Laura Roth
My love for grammar and writing started early. English was always my favorite subject in school, and I spent two years as editor of my high school’s newspaper. That love for grammar and writing has come full circle with my copyediting and proofreading career.
Throughout my professional life as a dancer, choreographer, dance teacher, and physical therapist assistant, I have found myself subconsciously proofreading emails, contracts, scripts, promotional materials, and any other form of writing that has come my way. In 2023, I decided to hone that skill and make a career out of it. I completed Proofread Anywhere’s General Proofreading: Theory & Practice course, earning a score of 97 percent on the final exam. I am currently continuing my education with Grammarist’s Breakthrough Copyediting and Proofreading course.
